Grand Marshal(s) and Honorary Grand Marshal(s) Selection Criteria:
 

• One of the following = born, raised, or contributed their time, talents, or gifts to the Icelandic Communities in Northeast North Dakota

• Past or present community member that is serving or has served our country in the US Military

• Past or present community member that is serving or has served in a Public Service position

• The nominee must be in good standing in the community

• Displays outstanding pride in, service to, and commitment to our community through volunteerism or community service work

• Activities should be above and beyond the nominee’s profession, paid work, or normal call of duty

• Must be able and willing to carry out the Grand Marshal functions

• The Honorary Grand Marshal will be a posthumous honor.

• Nominations must be in writing and submitted via email or verbally at the meeting chosen for the final selection

• The selection will be as follows:

The ICA members in attendance at the meeting will submit their votes. You must be a paid member to vote.

Each voting ballot will have the names of the nominees listed.
Write-in nominees are accepted.

Please choose 1 - 3 people in each category #1 – Grand Marshal and #2 – Honorary Grand Marshal. You may vote for just one person in each category if you desire or you may vote for up to 3 people in each category.

The initial votes will be counted by 2 people.

The three people with the most amount of votes in each category will be in the ‘’Final’’ Vote.
